The laboratory comes to you
Going to the laboratory on an empty stomach, queuing up and waiting are all hardships for the elderly, tired, feverish or people with reduced mobility. Home sampling eliminates these constraints. A nurse visits the patient at the agreed time - often early in the morning for fasting tests - takes the blood or blood sample under the best possible conditions, identifies and packages the samples, and sends them to the laboratory. The results are then collected and transmitted, without the patient having to leave the house.
What home sampling
The service covers blood sampling for most routine tests (blood counts, blood sugar levels, lipid profiles, kidney and liver function, inflammatory markers, anticoagulant monitoring), urine sampling and other prescription samples. Sampling is naturally part of a nursing follow-up or in the management of a chronic disease, where regular check-ups are necessary.
Pre-analytical rigor and trained nurses
Since 2011, from its Bab Ezzouar base, Magh Assistance has entrusted these samples to nurses trained, working on a centralized patient file and supervised by a team of over 120 doctors trained in Swiss protocols (Swissmedic standards). The quality of a result depends first and foremost on the preanalytical phase: the right tube, the right order of sampling, respect for fasting, rigorous identification, delivery times and conditions. This rigor, and the traceability of the results in the file, guarantee reliable and comparable results from one test to the next.
From results to medical decisions
A sample only has meaning if it is interpreted correctly. Because nurses work as part of a team, results can be directly read back by another member of the team. doctor, to adjust a treatment or schedule a visit if necessary. To take stock of an assessment home medical consultation can be organized right from the start - the complete loop, from sampling to decision, without the need to travel.
Rates and organization
There is a charge of 1,500 to 2,500 DA, excluding analysis costs billed by the laboratory. For repeat tests (anticoagulant monitoring, chronic disease control), sliding scale fees apply. The estimate is announced before the procedure; details are on the page rates.
A service designed for frail people and families
Home blood sampling offers much more than just comfort: it provides a secure follow-up for patients who would otherwise put off or miss their check-ups - isolated elderly people, bedridden patients, chronically ill patients undergoing treatment who need to be closely monitored. For families, and especially the diaspora whose loved ones live in Algiers, it ensures that check-ups are carried out on time, and that the results are passed on to the doctor. Each visit is planned, recorded and linked to the centralized file, turning a simple blood test into a reliable link in the overall medical monitoring process.
